Our Mission

To improve lives by providing quality, affordable housing options and promoting education and economic self-sufficiency.  

The Brenham Housing Authority provides affordable homes and services to more than 1000 low-income Brenham Residents including over 100 families housed through the Housing Choice Voucher Program and another 50 living in the senior community.

The Agency does more than just provide safe, affordable homes.  We also offer a host of programs to help public housing residents and voucher holders increase their education, live healthier lives and reach their economic goals. The Agency strives to provide the low-income Brenham Residents we serve with a full menu of opportunities to help them achieve their goals.

At Brenham Housing Authority, we strive to provide a neighborhood that you are proud to call home. Our staff is a group of dedicated professionals who believe that each of our residents deserve the very best of what a true "home town" can offer. Brenham Housing Authority provides a residents services such as health and financial classes, Bingo night and Food Pantry programs.

Our properties consists of 130 Public Housing Units, ranging from efficiencies to five bedrooms. We also offer 50 Section 8 properties for elderly individuals along with 120 Housing Choice Vouchers. Additionally, we have tax credit properties that offer Section 8 project based assistance to over 150 residents.  We have playgrounds, basketball courts, convenient parking and Community Rooms. Our Maintenance Staff is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergencies.
